Semiotic Ad

This is a Diesel ad for "Antique Dirty Denim". In the ad the signifier is the elderly people sitting on the couch. The signified meaning is that the ad is for antique dirty denim and elderly people are old like antiques and therefore signify antique dirty denim

Heidi Montag...Who Cares???

So Heidi from the Hills in on the cover of this weeks US weekly talking about her plastic surgery. To be quite honest who cares? Did Britney not do anything stupid this week preventing her from making the cover? Heidi isnt even a celebrity she get about 10 seconds of air time on The Hills and I think her fat nose needed surgery anyways. Good God!!! Get a real job

Timbaland Video

I love this video. I think it is great how an rnb video can actually be pretty creative. Its no like one of Timbalands video containing pimp and hoes, or well...justin timberlake prancing around. I love how it is so simple and yet very creative.

Intertextuality

This is the commercial for Pizza Hut, advertising cheesy bites. This is an example of vertical intertextuality. The commercial has recreated a scene taken from the movie "Dukes of Hazard" starring Jessica Simpson. The commercial also makes the audience remember the original "Dukes of Hazzard" TV show by Simpson wearing hot pants and boots. Another example of vetical intertextuality is that the audiences recognizes the song "These Boots are Made for Walking" by Nancy Sinatra.

Stupidest Commercial

Because we all feel the need to drink Sprite after we swap swim suits, so stupid!

Gwen Stefani - HP Creativity

I love this commercial. It is one of those commercials that does have a celebrity in it, but she doesnt over power the commercials message. Also I like her definition on CREATIVITY and how the commercial itself is very creative. I particularly like how the ideas/pictures are following her, just like ideas follows us and flow out of us in life.

OJ Simpsons Arrest

How ironic would be if OJ Simpson finally got his ass slammed in jail? After getting away with murder, how much would it suck if he gets thrown in jail for breaking into a vegas hotel. Also how weird is it that this is all happenening the week his book "If I did it" was actually released, after much controversy? It all just seems like perfect timing for some more press attention.

Seth Green "Leave Chris Crocker Alone"

AAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!! This was the answer to Chris Crockers youtube video "leave britney alone", aired on The Soup. I particularly love the part where he re-touches his eyeliner. Such a classic! check it out!

Ryan Seacrest hosted the 2007 Emmy Awards. Is that all? When does the man sleep? He is on absolutely everything. He has a radio show, hosts E! news, he produces reality shows on E, he hosts American Idol. Good God!

This is this weeks #1 you tube video. I think it is the funniest video ever. It is also pretty creepy how far people are going on the whole Britney fiasco. This kid Chris Crocker is a trip...check it out!

The Legendary Miss Britney Spears? Or Not?

Forty -eight hours later and still rumors are flying about what happened to Britney's performance at Sunday nights MTV VMA's. Most people would agree that her performance was pretty much a train wreck and that she was out of shape. But then why are people still talking about it? Is she really just a talent-less fat ass or is she the biggest PR genius?
